There is no single certificate that makes every resin, soft PVC or metal product compliant in every country. Requirements depend on the destination, intended users, materials, coatings, function and how the product will be marketed.

Start with Product Classification

Tell us:

• Destination country or region
• Intended user age
• Whether the item is a toy, decoration, souvenir, promotional product or functional accessory
• Materials, coatings and attachments
• Whether the product contacts food, skin or electronic components
• Customer-specific restricted-substance requirements

A decorative collectible and a children’s toy can look similar but fall under different obligations.

Common Requirements Buyers Ask About

Depending on the project, buyers may ask for support relating to:

• REACH restricted substances for the EU market
• EN 71 requirements for applicable toy products
• CPSIA requirements for applicable children’s products in the United States
• California Proposition 65 assessment or warning decisions
• RoHS for applicable electrical or electronic components
• GPSR product and supply-chain information for the EU
• Customer-specific material or packaging protocols

These terms are not interchangeable, and inclusion in this list does not mean every standard applies to every TUOYUAN product.

How Project-Specific Testing Works

1. We confirm the product, material, intended use and destination.
2. The buyer identifies mandatory and customer-specific standards.
3. We review existing reports for relevance to the proposed material.
4. If necessary, a representative sample is submitted to an agreed third-party laboratory.
5. The report number, tested sample, scope, method and result are checked.
6. The approved material and production batch are linked as required by the project plan.

An existing report only supports the named sample, material and test scope. It should not be presented as proof for an unrelated product.

Product Tests and Social Audits Are Different

BSCI and SMETA relate to social-responsibility and supply-chain due diligence. Disney requirements and TÜV or SGS involvement may relate to specific audits, programs, tests or documents. None of these logos alone proves that every finished product meets every destination-market regulation.

Product compliance still depends on the actual item, materials and applicable testing.

Questions to Ask Before Production

• Who is legally responsible for determining the final market requirements?
• Which exact standard and edition applies?
• Which components need testing?
• Must the test use a production sample?
• Who selects and pays the laboratory?
• How much time should be reserved?
• Are labels, tracking information or declarations required?
• Does a material change trigger retesting?

Environmental Claims Need Evidence

Packaging reduction, paper-based inserts and efficient carton planning may be considered where suitable. Claims such as biodegradable, recycled, plastic-free or carbon-neutral should only be used when supported by the exact material and documentation.

What TUOYUAN Needs from the Buyer

Send the product description, artwork, materials, intended users, destination market, distribution channel and customer testing manual. We can then confirm which documents we already hold, what may be relevant and which project-specific tests need to be arranged.
