What Information Is Needed for an Accurate Quote?

Updated August 28, 2026

Why a Complete Brief Reduces Rework

An accurate custom product quotation depends on the information a buyer provides. Clear reference artwork, target dimensions, material direction, planned quantity, target market, product function and packing expectations allow a supplier to price the real scope instead of guessing. Missing details usually lead to quotation revisions and sample changes that could have been avoided.

What to Include in Your Project Brief

Provide the reference artwork or design file, approximate dimensions, the material you are considering, expected quantity and target market, how the product will be used, and any packing or retail presentation needs. It also helps to state your target delivery expectation and whether the product will be sold, gifted or used as branded merchandise.

How to Present Artwork

Artwork should show the design, colors and any text clearly. For printed or enameled products, color separation makes the design easier to interpret. For sculpted products, multiple angles of the reference help the modeler capture the intended form and expression.

What Happens After You Submit a Brief

TUOYUAN reviews the brief and confirms the product structure, tooling route, sample plan and cost drivers. If anything is unclear, we ask targeted questions before quoting so that the price and schedule reflect the project you actually intend to produce.
